Scum and Villainy Cantina, a popular spot in Hollywood, is adding its unique flair to trivia nights with “Trivia Quest.” Structured similarly to the Geeks Who Drink trivia format, this event has a few special bonuses that set it apart.

Firstly, Trivia Quest operates on a cumulative scoring system. Over eight weeks, you and your team of up to six can amass points each week, battling to win the ever-changing grand prize. If the tournament-style play doesn’t suit your schedule, you can still drop by for a single evening and compete for the first and second-place prizes: $60 and $30 gift certificates, respectively, to the Scum and Villainy Cantina. These can be applied to your bar tab.

Another unique feature is the additional ways to earn bonus points. Beyond answering the questions correctly, you can get ahead by checking in early on social media. Simply show your check-in to the quiz master before the game starts to claim your bonus points. You can also earn points by buying a “quiz master drink.” But it’s not as straightforward as buying a regular drink – a dice roll determines this drink! When you order the quiz master drink, you will be handed a large, D&D-style die to roll. The number you roll determines your unique “quiz master drink.”

The game consists of six rounds with ten questions, akin to the Geeks Who Drink format. Rounds include general knowledge, music, a visual round (where you identify the person or movie given to you on your team’s sheet of paper), and a “This Week in Geek” round, among others.
