LOS ANGELES, CALIFORNIA, APRIL 3, 2024 – As the Property Masters Guild enters its third year, it’s undertaking its biggest venture yet: the first ever awards show to celebrate the significant artistic achievements of Property Masters in entertainment.
Although the craft dates back to the origins of filmmaking, the work of Property Masters has largely gone unrecognized and has been ineligible for any industry awards. Seeking to correct this hundred-year injustice, the Guild will be hosting The MacGuffin Awards to honor excellence among Property Masters and their teams in Film, Television, and Commercial productions. With twelve categories covering all forms of media and a Lifetime Achievement Award, the event will celebrate the creative contributions of the craft and seek to inspire and empower future generations looking for careers in the arts.
Truly a blending of the old and new, The MacGuffin Awards harken back to Old Hollywood glamour with a focus on the future. The Awards will be held at the historic Belasco Theatre in Downtown Los Angeles. A formal evening of food, drinks, and camaraderie will bring together a vast array of creatives from all aspects of the craft from all over the world with a collective vision for what is to come.
