Yesterday at a Los Angeles Special Screening of Clemency, Alex Castillo, Julian Cautherley, Richard Schiff, Bronwyn Cornelius, Chinonye Chukwu, Aldis Hodge, Alfre Woodard, and Jed Bernard, arrived on December 13, 2019 in Los Angeles, California.
Years of carrying out death row executions have taken a toll on prison warden, Bernadine Williams. The emotional wedge in her marriage grows. Memories of a recently botched execution plague her daily. As she prepares to execute another inmate, Bernadine must confront the psychological and emotional demons her job creates, ultimately connecting her to the man she is sanctioned to kill.
Directed and written by Chinonye Chukwu along with producers Bronwyn Cornelius, Julian Cautherley, Peter Wong, and Timur Bekbosunov. Executive produced by Annie Chang, Calvin Choong, Johnny Chang, Emma Lee, Alfre Woodard, and Kathryn Bostic.
